We Are…..”Seniors Real Estate Specialists”.

We are licensed real estate agents that have a special designation known as “Seniors Real Estate Specialists” and are uniquely qualified through education and experience, to help the 50+ individual and their family, sell the family home and relocate to senior housing or to ‘Age-In-Place’.

 We have an extensive network of senior focused specialists that can help the mature homeowner walk through the financial, legal and emotional issues that accompany the sale of the home.

 Our Mission is to freely provide information to the 50+ individual and discuss their housing options through consultation, the media, fairs and expos. We are sensitive to the needs and take great care in helping the older generation “Navigate the Senior Maze”.  

 I’m writing this post because many people do not understand what it is that my partner Donna Quinn + I do as ‘Seniors Real Estate Specialists’. Over the past several months, I have asked older homeowners, whose homes were on the market for sale, where they were going to live once their homes have sold. They told me they didn’t know + they don’t know where to turn to for advice. I asked the homeowner if their agent was going to help them + they said no that they hadn’t spoken to them about senior housing options. I find this unconscionable as a Realtor. This is exactly what separates Donna + myself from other Realtors when it comes to consulting with + servicing our senior clientele. While we’re on this topic of being a senior, it doesn’t mean you’re in your 70’s or 80’s, independent or non-dependant, it just means we can help ALL people over 50+ to downsize, relocate or to age-in-place.

 We consult with the 50+ homeowner and let them know what their options are once they have told us what they want or what may be in their best interests. Donna + I also invite all decision makers (family) and include them in the process of selling the family home. Working with people over 50 takes time, patience, explanation of the home selling process and at times, holding their hand. Once trust has been established, we can then help our clients move on with their lives.  

 Realtors have told me working with ‘Seniors’ takes up too much time, that they’ve already tried it and it doesn’t pay. This is what separates us and the other Realtors. Why go to a licensed real estate salesperson, when you can go to a ‘Seniors Real Estate Specialist’. We ‘talk the talk’ and ‘walk the walk’; we care.
